The Utah Jazz announced on Thursday that they have decided to play in their state and will not be televised at any point by ESPN, which has a broadcast agreement with the Jazz for the 2020-21 season.
ESPN announced it was ending its relationship with the Utah Jazz on March 6, 2018, after it signed a new three-year broadcast agreement.
Utah’s next two games will not broadcast by ESPN are at Utah Valley on Saturday and at Utah’s home opener against New Orleans on Tuesday.ESPN’s agreement with Utah extends through 2020.ESPN also announced on Wednesday that it will air its Utah-based network for all home games from 2020-2022.
Utah will not have any home games televised by the network during that period.ESPN announced it would not be able to televise its Utah games on ESPN networks during the 2020 NBA All-Star Weekend.ESPN and the Jazz did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
