In the final week of the 2016-17 season, Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho, Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero, Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez and Tottenham’s Harry Kane were all on top of the Premier League.
The five players who have been the most consistent and impactful for the Premier Lads in 2016-2017 are:Coutinho, 26, who has scored 31 goals in 30 appearances and helped Liverpool finish in the top four of the league three times in four seasons.
He has been one of the most prolific scorers in the Premier Leagues for Liverpool, and his goals have been enough to win trophies for the club.
Aguero, 29, who scored a stunning 24 goals in the final 15 games of the season, and has scored seven goals in his last three league games.
The Argentina international has also been a key contributor to the Reds’ title challenge, scoring 17 goals in 17 games, and the club’s Premier League record goalscorer is also leading the way in the competition.
Sanchez, 27, who joined Liverpool from Manchester City in the summer of 2016 and has been the team’s key player in the middle of the park, has scored 10 goals in 10 appearances and is second on the club with five assists.
He scored against Manchester United in the Champions League final, and scored in Liverpool’s 3-2 win over Chelsea in the FA Cup final.
The Chilean is second in the club scoring charts, and is now a Premier League all-time record goalscoring goalscoreter.
Kane, 31, who is the club record scorer in Premier League history with 30 goals, has been crucial in helping Liverpool to a fourth successive Premier League title and Champions League semi-final.
Ajax’s Kevin Strootman and Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy have been key players in helping Leicester to victory at home to Manchester United.
Strootman is also third in the league with five goals, and Vardy is fourth with four.
