Police shot dead an 18-year-old Palestinian in Jerusalem on Saturday night, Israeli media reported.
The Palestinian man was shot after he allegedly resisted arrest, the Channel 2 news channel reported, citing police sources.
The man’s family did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The police were searching for a suspect in the killing.
Earlier, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said the teenager was shot in the upper body after he refused to get into a police car.
He was transported to a nearby hospital and was in critical condition.
The Israeli military said it had opened an investigation into the incident.
Palestinians in Israel have been targeted by Israeli forces for years.
Last year, a Palestinian teenager was stabbed to death by a settler after he tried to flee an Israeli police raid.
Israeli authorities said they believed the teenager’s family was involved in the incident and arrested the teenager.
